Known Accessibility Limitations
We are transparent about areas where our website does not yet fully meet accessibility standards. These are being addressed:
1. Product Image Alt Text: Some product images may have generic or missing alternative text. We are implementing a systematic process. Timeline: Ongoing (retrofitting by June 2026)
2. Third-Party Apps & Widgets: Third-party apps may not fully meet accessibility standards. These apps are outside our direct control but we select providers carefully. Mitigation: We test apps before installation.
3. Video Content: Videos may lack captions or transcripts. Improvement plan: Adding captions to all video content.
4. PDF Documents: Downloadable documents may not be fully accessible. Improvement plan: Converting to accessible HTML format.
5. Focus Indicators: Some buttons and links may have unclear focus indicators. Timeline: Addressing by Q2 2026
6. Color Alone: Some charts or graphics may need improvement. Improvement plan: Adding patterns or text labels.
Ongoing Accessibility Efforts
Regular Testing & Monitoring: We perform quarterly accessibility audits using automated tools and manual testing. We test with screen readers (NVDA, JAWS), voice control software, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification tools, and color contrast analyzers.
Staff Training: Our team receives training on web accessibility best practices. Content creators are trained on writing accessible product descriptions. Developers follow Shopify accessibility guidelines.
Customer Feedback: We welcome feedback on accessibility issues. All accessibility concerns are prioritized and addressed.
Third-Party Vendor Selection: We prioritize accessibility when selecting apps and services. We avoid accessibility overlay solutions.
